USPAA-1 V2 Triggering Sensor

USPAA-1 V2 device is powered by one (1) CR 2032 battery and features:

Ř Two thermal sensors with trigger response temperatures of 60 and 70°C

Ř Built-in indicator light

Ř Built-in sound alarm

Ř “Control” button for testing  the various device functions

Ř “Time Delay” button for optional time delay of the module triggering

Ř “Cage” is the protective cover connected to the base of the device. Removing the cage from the base disarms the device and the module by disconnecting its power source.

The battery life span in the device is a minimum of 2 years, in Standby mode.

MODES OF OPERATION:

STANDBY
In Standby mode, the device does not consume battery power. If the Control button is pressed the battery power voltage level and the trigger circuit integrity is checked. Under normal operating conditions, the device issues an audible and visual warning signal. When the trigger circuit is compromised, the device generates the
Alarm-1 signal to an existing fire monitoring system and/or generates a modulating frequency signal. When the battery power decreases, the device generates the Alarm-2 signal - a continuous frequency modulated signal.

ATTENTION
The
Attention mode is activated when a thermal sensor detects temperature of 60°C. The return temperature to Standby mode must decrease below 50°C. In the Attention mode, the device generates a rapid flashing light and sound alert lasting not less than 60 seconds. After the time delay has elapsed and there was no consequential activation of the Fire mode, having not achieved  70°C, the device turns off the audible signal Attention mode and switches back to Standby energy saving mode.

FIRE
The
Fire signal is generated automatically when the second thermal sensor with triggering temperature of 70°C is activated. If the Time Delay is not set, the USPAA-1 V2 triggers the module immediately. If the Time Delay is set, the time delay before the fire signal is generated,  is set to 30 seconds.

In the Fire mode, the device generates light and sound Fire signals, which are different from the Attention signals.

If the Control button is pressed in the Fire mode, the device resets the time delay and for at least 30 seconds, generates a light/sound Attention signal. Then for an additional 30 seconds, a light/sound Fire signal is generated, after which it will activate the module. The reset cycle may be activated repeatedly by pressing the Control button. It is possible to disconnect the USPAA-1 V2 device from its power source, thus disarming the module, at anytime in the Fire mode by removing the protective Cage.

Area controlled by one USPAA-1 V2

The area controlled by a single thermal fire detector, as well as the maximum distance between the detectors and the detector and the wall should be determined according to the following chart:
