STAND-ALONE MODULES :

Stand-alone modules are single modules of different sizes. The actual size of the module for each particular application is determined by the assessed size of the location of the potential fire hazard and the different options for installation.

Complete installation requires also at least one of the triggering sensors, fire-resistant wire, mounting bracket(s) and the recommended size and type of hardware.

Such stand-alone modules are generally installed and visible on a ceiling, sloped ceiling, wall, beam, joist, post or any similar structure.

Ceiling & Wall Mounted

These types of modules are either used for protection of the specific spot of a potential fire hazard and/or for general protection of an overall area or room, as may be required

Portable & Handheld

These modules are used for applications where portable or temporary protection is required for the spot of a potential fire hazard or for general protection of an overall area or room

Floor, Wall & Ceiling Mounted

These high capacity modules with extreme coverage are suitable for protection for potentially larger fire hazards or for general protection of an larger overall area or room

Installation of these types of modules requires custom made brackets due to the high powered recoil during discharge.

DO-IT-YOURSELF INSTALLATION KITS :

These kits are ready for Do-It-Yourself installation and come in different sizes. Each kit contains one MPP extinguishing module pre-wired with a USP-101 automatic heat-detecting and triggering sensor. Complete installation requires additional mounting bracket(s) based on type of installation - vertical, horizontal or sloped/angled.

Such stand-alone modules are generally installed and visible on a ceiling, sloped ceiling, wall, beam, joist, post or any similar structure.

INSIDE-CEILING INSTALL KITS :

Complete kits, containing special brackets with a pre-installed MPP module, pre-wired with USP-101 automatic heat-detecting/triggering sensor, ready for DIY installation inside a drywalled ceiling.

Installation is completely hidden inside the ceiling with only the white bottom (3mm thick) metal plate of the bracket visible.

MPP 2.0 Inside-Ceiling Install Kit

Mountable between 12” or 16” spaced joists. Can be used for protection of a kitchen stove, woodstove/fireplace, laundry room, bathroom, storage. With height of only 5 Ľ” (130mm) is suitable for ceilings  with joists narrower than 6”

MPP 2.7 Inside-Ceiling Install Kit

Mountable between 12”or 16”spaced joists. Similar use as above, with larger discharge load for better protection of similar sized fire hazard spots but in larger rooms. Suitable for standard height joists.

MPP 4.0 Inside-Ceiling Install Kit

Mountable between 16” spaced joists and suitable for protection of a large kitchen, living room area with fireplace or woodstove, bedrooms.

MOUNTING BRACKETS :

Different basic types of mounting brackets, or combination of brackets, are required for different types of installation - horizontal ceiling, sloped ceiling, horizontal beam, joists, vertical wall, post. Any custom made brackets are fabricated based on detailed assessment of the customer’s facility.

Any installation must be on a strong, immovable, rigid surface such as concrete, brick, metal or strong wooden structure.

TCB-10-1

Required for angled installation on a ceiling, wall, floor, post or joist

TCB-20

Required for vertical installation on the wall or side of the joist

TCB-30-1 for MPP 2.0

Used alone strictly for vertical installation on a ceiling or horizontal installation on a wall, post or joist and in combination with TCB-10-1 for angled installation on a sloped ceiling, wall, floor, post or joist

TCB-30-2 for MPP 2.7; 5.0

Used alone strictly for vertical installation on a ceiling or horizontal installation on a wall, post or joist and in combination with TCB-10-1 for angled installation on a sloped ceiling, wall, floor, post or joist

TCB-30-3 for MPP 4.0; 6.0; 9.0

Used alone strictly for vertical installation on a ceiling or horizontal installation on a wall, post or joist and in combination with TCB-10-1 for angled installation on a sloped ceiling, wall, floor, post or joist

HEAT DETECTING & TRIGGERING SENSORS :

Sensors/Triggers are used to detect a rise in heat within the protected area and to trigger the MPP module discharge. All sensors can also be connected to an existing fire alarm panel, security system or simple visual/audio warning device such as a siren and flashing lights to provide an alert that a fire incident has occured, the MPP module has been discharged, and further attention is required.

Module Variations (temperature range)

For special applications under extreme conditions, all TUNGUS modules are manufactured in a variety of temperature resistance levels, including high and low extremes. Generally, the version “N” is sufficient for any standard temperature interior use. The “NT” and “NT-1” versions should be used in applications requiring sufficient resistance to higher or extreme cold or heat.

STANDARD version (N)

operating temperature ranges from -50°C up to +50°C

COLD/HEAT RESISTANT version (NT)

operating temperature ranges from -60°C up to +90°C

EXTREME COLD/HEAT RESISTANT version (NT-1)

operating temperature ranges from -60°C up to +125°C

VEHICULAR version (N-A-T1)

operating temperature ranges from -60°C up to +125°C, vibration and corrosion resistant, designed specifically for protection of engine and hydraulic compartments of buses, trucks, harvester combines, locomotives, heavy machinery
